Seared Ahi Tuna
We're talkin' 'bout our seared ahi tuna – a fancy feast that's surprisingly easy to wrangle right at home. Don't let it spook ya, we'll walk you through the ropes and show you how to rustle up this flavor-packed crowd favorite!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1.00 - 1.25 lb. Tuna Steak
- 3 Tbs. Vegetable Oil
- Scallion and Toasted Sesame Seeds, for garnish
- 2 Tbs. Honey
- 2 Tbs. Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbs. Sesame Oil
- 1 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Peppered Sea Salt Seasoning
- 2 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Garlic Butter Seasoning
- 1 Tsp. Runnin Wild Gourmet Blackened Seasoning
PROCEDURE:
- Combine marinade ingredients and marinate tuna for at least 3 hours in a Ziploc bag (overnight is best for marinating)
- Heat up skillet for 2-3 minutes with 3 Tbs. Vegetable Oil
- Place tuna steaks in hot skillet and sear (1 minute on each side for rare, 1.5-2 minutes on each side for medium rare)
- Remove from skillet and slice
- Sprinkle chopped scallion and toasted sesame seeds over sliced Ahi Tuna
